It’s really a shame that Bluepoint went through all the trouble to remake the game from the ground up, but didn’t fix these two things. Second, the camera angle is at its worst when you need it the most. This is nothing new to Souls games, so this probably won’t come as a shock to many of you. This is especially true in the Demon’s Souls remake, where you are often traversing a cliff’s edge or fighting a boss inside a small covered area.

In the original Demon’s Souls, players could carry hundreds of healing grasses with them and suffer no real penalty. In the remake, players will have a more limited supply, and more powerful grasses (like Full Moon Grass) will weigh more than less effective grasses. Those changes should help balance the game’s difficulty and improve player-versus-player battles, where fans could quickly consume vast amounts of healing items, dragging out multiplayer brawls. The PlayStation 5 version launched with different modes to accommodate various displays and playstyles. For players more interested in the visuals and willing to trade a few frames for combat, the cinematic mode is perfect with a fixed 4K resolution and 30 FPS.
